The first east/west alley north of Wayne Street, from the east R/W of Main Street to the west R/W of the first north/south alley east of Main Street, for a distance of 165 feet and a width of 14 feet. Part of the original plat of South Bend, St. Joseph County, Indiana. For your information, the Board of Public Works received favorable recommendations from the Fire Department, Bureau of Sanitation, Division of Engineering, Department of Community and Economic Development, Area Plan Commission and the Police Department concerning this vacation, subject to any utility easements that may be required. Community and Economic Development submitted a favorable recommendation, contingent upon the following: 1) adjacent buildings still have service access, now and for future users; 2) development plans for the Main/Jefferson office building may require an approved elevator and stairwell at the northwest corner of the AMPCO parking deck, which could require the use of part of the proposed vacated alley. Area Plan stated the vacations will need to be subject to a turning radius easement at the intersection of the north/south alley and east/west alley for alley traffic from the south. Therefore, the Board submits to you a favorable recommendation concerning this vacation, subject to the above.. Sincerely, gela K ~~cob, filer
