ANNEXING TO AND BRINGING WITHIN THE
t�@'c„'R' CITY LIMITS OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, CERTAIN LANDS

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND,
INDIANA:
Section l:
That the following described property in St. Joseph
County, State of Indiana, is hereby annexed to and brought
within the City of South Bend, Indiana:
Beginning at a point on the present city limits
at the northwest corner of the Southeast One
Quarter of Section 30, T37N, R3E, thence east
along the north line of the Southeast One Quarter
of the Southeast One Quarter of said Section 30
to the west right -of -way line of Ironwood Road,
thence south along the west right -of -way line of
Ironwood Road to the south line of said Section
30, thence west along the south line of said Section
30 to the present city limits, thence north along
the present city limits to the place of beginning
containing 39 acres, more or less.
Section 2:
This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and
after its enactment, approval by the Mayor and legal publica-
tion.

The attached petition of the Common Council to annex to
the City of South Bend, Indiana a parcel of land generally
described as being the northwest corner of the intersec-
tion of Ironwood and Jackson Roads, said parcel containing
39 acres, more or less, was legally advertised under date
of March 26, 1962 and given public hearing on April 5,
1962. The following action was taken:
After due consideration the Commission found
that the six determinants of annexation exist.
It was therefore duly moved, seconded, and
unanimously carried that the petition be recom-
mended favorably to the Council.
