AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING TO AND BRINGING WITHIN THE
CITY LIMITS OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, CERTAIN LANDS
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND,
INDIANA:
Section 1:
That the following described property in St. Joseph
County, State of Indiana, is hereby annexed to and brought
within the City of South Bend, Indiana:
Beginning at a point on the centerline of Hepler
Street (Dunn Road) 998.5 feet, more or less, east
of the north -south centerline of Section 32, T38N,
R3E, thence south 660 feet, more or less, thence
east 330 feet, more or less, thence north 660
feet; more or less, thence west 330 feet, more or
less, to the place of beginning containing 5 acres;
more or less.
Section 2:
This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and
after its enactment, approval by the Mayor and legal publica-
tion.

South Bend, Indiana
Gentlemen:
The attached petition of the Common Council to annex to
the City of South Bend, Indiana a parcel of land generally
described. as lying adjacent to Tarkington School and
bounded on the east, west, and south by the present city
limits, and on the north by Hepler Street, said parcel
containing 5 acres, more or less, was legally adver-
tised under date of March 26, 1962 and given public
hearing on April 5, 1962. The following action was
taken:
After due consideration the Commission found
that the six determinants of annexation exist.
It was therefore duly moved, seconded, and
unanimously carried that the petition be recom-
mended favorably to the Council.
