AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING TO AND BRINGING WITHIN THE Qp 50 E:e'm�Pa CITY LIMITS OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, CERTAIN LANDS odd BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA: Section 1• That the following described property in St. Joseph County, State of Indiana, is hereby annexed to and brought within the City of South Bend, Indiana: Beginning at a point on the north right -of -way line of Ireland Road at the intersection of the east right -of -way line of the Pennsylvania Railroad and the north -south centerline of Section 26, T37N, R2E, thence north along the north -south centerline of said Section 26 to a point on the present city limits, which point is 200 feet south of the north line of said Section 26, thence east along the pre- sent city limits to the east right -of -way line of the Pennsylvania Railroad, also the present city limits, thence southwest along the east right -o-f- way line of the Pennsylvania Railroad to the place of beginning containing 38.9 acres, more or less. DE PLANNING The attached. petition of the Common Council to annex to the City of South Bend, Indiana a ian lar shaped par- cel of land generally described as being bounded on the east by the east right -of -way line of the Pennsylvania Railroad, on the north by the present city limits which is 200 feet south of Chippewa Avenue, and on the west by a line extended north from the intersection of the east right -of -way line of the Pennsylvania Railroad and the north right -of -way line of Ireland Road, said parcel containing 38.9 acres, more or less, was legally adver- tised under date of March 26, 1962 and given ptb tic hearing on April 5, 1962. The following action was taken: After due consideration the Commission found that the six determinants of annexation exist.
