AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING TO AND BRINGING WITHIN THE

'V CITY LIMITS OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, CERTAIN LANDS
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COITION COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND,
INDIANA:
Section 1•
That the following described property in St. Joseph
County, State of Indiana, is hereby annexed to and brought
within the City of South Bend, Indiana:
Beginning at a point on the east right -of-
way line of Lilac Road 613.38 feet, more or
less, south of the south right -of -way line
of Darden Road, which point is in the South-
east One Quarter of Section 22, T38N, R2E,
thence east a distance of 323.23 feet, more
or less, thence south a distance of 196
feet, more or less, thence west a distance
of 324.6 feet, more or less, to the east
right -of -way line of Lilac Road, thence
north a distance of 196 feet, more or less,
to the place of beginning containing 1.4
acres, more or less_
Section 2:
This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and
after, its enactment, approval by the Mayor and legal publica-
tion.

The attached petition of the Common Council to annex to
the City of South Bend, Indiana a parcel of land bounded
on the north, south and east by the present city limits
and on the west by Lilac Road and being 613 feet south
of Darden Road., said parcel containing 1.4 acres, more
or less, was legally advertised under date of March 26,
1962 and given public hearing on April 5, 1962. The fol-
lowing action was taken:
After due consideration the Commission found
that the six determinants of annexation exist.
It was therefore duly moved, seconded, and
unanimously carried that the petition be recom-
mended favorably to the Council.
