HomeMy WebLinkAboutZoning - West by the center line of Maple Rd, North by the center line of Douglas RdORDINANCE N0.4451 - - -62 Passed by the Common Council of the City of South Bend, April 9, rq 62 Presented by me to the Mayor of the City of South Bend, 62 Clerk Of Common Council Clerk Approved and signed by me April 10. �9 62 IDEALPFEB9 V0p, ORDINANCE NO. 4451 - - -62 ,R� 4 G\�y AN ORDINANCE AMENDING AND SUPPLEMENTING ZONING ORDINANCE NO. 3702, AS HERETOFORE AMENDED AND SUPPLEMENTED BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA: Section 1• That Zoning Ordinance No. 3702, as heretofore amended and supplemented, be and the same is hereby amended and supple- mented by zoning as "E" Heavy Industrial Use and "G" Height and Area District the following newly annexed described property: The West One -half (z) of the Northwest Quarter (4) and the West One -half (z) of the Northeast Quarter (4) of the Northwest Quarter (4) of Section 34, Township 38 North, Range Two (2) East, in St. Joseph County, Indiana. The above described land is bounded on the West by the center line of Maple Road, on the North by the center line of Douglas Road, (also known as Lathrop Avenue), on the East, South along the center line of Meade Street, ex- tended North, to the center line of Bergan Street, thence West along the center line of Bergan Street, extended West, to the center line of Eclipse Place, extended North, thence South along the center line of Eclipse Place, extended North, to the East and West center line of Section 34, thence West along the East and West center line of Section 34 to the center of Maple Road. Section 2: This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its enactment, approval by the Mayor and legal publication. OF ILA""' The attached petition of the South Bend Sand and Gravel Corporation to zone "E" Heavy Industrial Use and "G" Height and Area.District the recently annexed land being generally described as bounded on the west by Maple Road, on the north by Douglas Road (also known as Lathrop Avenue), and on the east and south by the present city limits containing approximately 100 acres was legally advertised under date of March 26, 1962 and given public hearing on April 5, 1962. The following action was taken: After due consideration the Commission found that this is the most logical zoning for said area and that substantial justice would be done by the granting of the petition.
