AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING $63,800 FROM FUND 212 FOR THE
PURPOSE OF FUNDING ACTIVITIES UNDER THE US EPA BROWNFIELD
PILOT ASSESSMENT GRANT
Statement of Purpose and Intent:
In order to allow the City to increase the development potential of sites throughout
the City, as funds allow:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAIl~TED by the Common Council of the City of South
Bend, Indiana, as follows:
SECTION I. The sum of $68,800 is hereby appropriated within Fund 212 for costs
associated with the development of a Geographic Information System (GIS) and
database and for Phase I Environmental Site Assessments, travel and supplies.
SECTION II. These funds shall be reimbursed by the United States Environmental
Protection Agency.
SECTION II. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage
by the Common Council and approval by the Mayor.

will be reimbursed by the United States Environmental Protection Agency under the Grant
