A Claims Review Meeting of the Board of Public Works was convened at 8:38 a.m. on Tuesday,
April 15, 2014, by Board President Gary Gilot with Board Members Kathryn Roos, David Relos,
Patrick Henthom, and Brian Pawlowski present. .
ADDITIONS TO THE AGENDA
Mr. Gilot noted the addition to the agenda of a Termination and Assignment Agreement and
Addendum with Jackson Trucking and Excavating.
APPROVE CLAIMS
Ms. Roos stated that a request to pay claims has been received by the Board; each claim is fully
supported by an invoice; the person receiving the goods or services has approved the claims; and
the claims have been filed with the City Fiscal Officer and certified for accuracy. Ms. Roos
stated the following claims were submitted to the Board for approval:

Ms. Roos made a motion that after review of the expenditures, the remaining claims be approved
separately as submitted. Mr. Relos seconded the motion, which carried.
APPROVE TERMINATION AND ASSIGNMENT AGREEMENT AND ADDENDUM
JACKSON TRUCKING AND EXCAVATING
In a memo to the Board, Attorney Cheryl Greene stated by this agreement, the City and Jackson
Trucking and Excavation mutually agreed to partially terminate a demolition contract related to
the Vacant and Abandoned initiative. She noted Jackson Trucking will retain the right to
complete demolition work on certain properties which have an expiring demolition order, and
will release its rights on the other properties and authorize the City to assign Jackson's contract
rights to a third party. Upon a motion by Mr. Gilot, seconded by Ms. Roos and carried, the
agreement and addendum were approved.
ADJOURNMENT
There being no further business to come before the Board, upon a motion made by Mr. Gilot,
seconded by Ms. Roos and carried, the meeting adjourned at 8:42 a.m.
