BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH
BEND, INDIANA:
Section 1•
That Zoning Ordinance No. 3702, as heretofore amended
and supplemented, be and the same is hereby amended and
supplemented by zoning as "A" Residential Use District and
"A" Height and Area District the following described property:
Beginning at the northeast corner of the northwest
quarter of Section 31, T37N,R3E, running thence west
along the north line ofsaid quarter Section, 826
feet, thence south 866.5 feet, thence east 226.19
feet to the center line of the formerly proposed
Overlook Road, thence south along the center line
of the formerly proposed Overlook Road 371 feet,
thence east 602 feet to the east line of said
quarter section, thence north along the east line
of said quarter section 1237.5 feet to the place
of -beginning, containing 21.5 acres, more or less.
Section 2:
This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from
and after its enactment, approval by the Mayor and legal
publication.

The attached petition of the City Planning Commission
to zone "Al' Residential Use District and "A" Height and
Area District the recently annexed land being generally
described as having 826 feet frontage on the south side
of Jackson Road, and lying midway between Ironwood and
Miami Roads.was legally advertised under date of November
26, 1962 and given public hearing on December 6, 1962.
The following action was taken:
After due consideration the Commission found
that the best zoning for the subject property
would be "A" Residential. It was therefore duly,
moved, seconded, and unanimously carried that
the petition be recommended favorably to the
Council.
