AN ORDINANCE AMENDING AND SUPPLEMENTING
ZONING ORDINANCE NO. 3702
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COITION COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH
BEND, INDIANA:
Section 1:
That Zoning Ordinance No. 3702, as heretofore
amended, be and the same is hereby amended and supplemented
by changing the zoning classification of the following
described property from "C" Commercial Use and "D" Height
and Area District to "A" Residential Use District and
"A" Height and Area District:
Lots 396 -414 inclusive and Lots 377 -380 inclusive
of 2nd Plat Summit Place Addition, Lots 4- 5 -6 -7 -8
Harper and Ruckman's Survey, plus Lots 440 -445
inclusive and Lots 462 -467 inclusive and Lots
484 -486 inclusive of Part of 3rd Plat of Summit
Place, being generally described as both sides
of Olive Street from the first east -west alley
south of Western Avenue south to Grace Street
plus four lots at the northwest and southwest
corners of Huron and Phillipa Streets.
Section 2:
This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after its enactment, approval by the Mayor and
legal publication.

The Honorable Common Council

South Bend, Indiana
Gentlemen:
The attached petition of the City Planning Commission to
rezone from "C" Commercial Use and "D" Height and Area
District to "A" Residential Use District and "A" Height
and Area District the property being generally described
as both sides of Olive Street from the first east -west
alley south of Western south to Grace Street, plus four
lots at the northwest and southwest corners of Huron
and Phillips. Street was legally advertised under date
of October 22, 1962 and given public hearing on November
it 1962. The following action was taken:
After due consideration the Commission found
that the best zoning for the subject property
would be residential. It was therefore duly
moved, seconded, and unanimously carried that
the petition be recommended favorably to the
Council.
