HomeMy WebLinkAboutAdditional Appropriations in the Police Department, Fire Department and Office of the City Clerk $13,400.00ORDINANCE No. 4531 - - -62 Passed by the Common Council of the City of South Bend, Indiana NOVEMBER 26. — 62 Presented by me to the Mayor of the City of South Bend, NOVEMBER 27, �o 62 Clerk Of Common Council Clerk Approved and signed by me NOVEMBER 27, I062 IDEAL .ilepwPRESS ORDINANCE NO. 4531 - - -62 AN ORDINANCE FOR ADDITIONAL APPROPRIATIONS IN THE POLICE DEPARTMENT A �, FIRE DEPART- MENT , AND OFFICE OF THE CITY CLERK - $13,400.00 WHEREAS: Certain extraordinary conditions have developed since the adoption of the existing annual budget, so that it is now necessary to appropriate more money than was appropriated in the annual budget for the various functions of City Government to meet such extraordinary emergencies: SECTION I. BE IT ORDAINED, by the Common Council of the City of South Bend, Indiana, that for the expenses of the City Government and its institutions for the year ending December 31, 1962, the following sum of money is here- by appropriated and set apart out of the fund herein named and for the purposes herein specified, subject to the laws governing the same, and such sum herein appro- priated shall be held to include all expenditures authorized to be made during the year, unless otherwise expressly stipulated and provided by law. SECTION II. That for said fiscal year there is hereby appropriated out of the various City Funds hereinafter named, the following specified amounts to meet such extraordinary emergencies, as follows: GENERAL FUND Account No. Q -221 - Electric Current 450.00 Account No. Q -224 - Water 300.00 Account No. Q -261 - Laundry and Cleaning 50.00 Account No. Q -333 - Other Institutional and Medical Supplies 50.00 Account No. P -331 - Household, Laundry & Cleaning 100.00 Account No. P -722 - Motor Equipment 12, 000.00 Account No. C -725 - Office Equipment 450.00 TOTAL $13,400.00 SECTION III. WHEREAS, it has been shown that certain existing appropria- tions now have unobligated balances which will not be needed for the purposes herein for which appropriated, it is therefore, further ordained by the aforesaid Common Council that such unnecessary existing appropriations are now reduced in amounts as follows: GENERAL FUND Account No. Q -11 - Services Personal 850.00 Account No. P -11 - Services Personal 12, 00. 00 Account No. P -261 - Mechanical Assistance 100.00 Account No. C -363 - Other Office Supplies 450.00 TOTAL $13,400.00 SECTION IV.
