AN ORDINANCE FOR ADDITIONAL APPROPRIATIONS IN THE FIRE DEPARTMENT 60M, $500. 00 WHEREAS, certain extraordinary conditions have developed since the adoption of the existing annual budget, so that it is now necessary to appropriate more money than was appropriated in the annual budget for the various functions of City Government to meet such extraordinary emergencies: SECTION I. BE IT ORDAINED, by the Common Council of the City of South Bend, Indiana, that for the expenses of the City Government and its institutions for the year ending December 31, 1963, the following sums of money are hereby appro- priated and set apart out of the several funds herein named and for the purposes herein specified, subject to the laws governing the same, and such sums herein appropriated shall be held to include all expenditures authorized to be made during the year, unless otherwise expressly stipulated and provided by law. SECTION II. That for said fiscal year, there is hereby appropriated out of the various City Funds hereinafter named, the following specified amount to meet such extraordinary emergencies, as follows: GENERAL FUND Account No. Q -224 - Water $500.00 SECTION III. WHEREAS, it has been shown that certain existing appropria- tions now have unobligated balances which will not be needed for the purposes herein for which appropriated, it is therefore, further ordained by the aforesaid Common Council that such unnecessary existing appropriations are now reduced in amounts as follows: GENERAL FUND Account No. Q -11 - Services Personal $500.00 SECTION IV. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage by the Common Council, its approval by the Mayor and the fulfillment of all statutory requirements of emergency appropriations.
