AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 3702
COMMONLY KNOTIN AS THE ZONING ORDINANCE
OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA
(3000 Block of South Michigan Street)
Be it ordained by the Common Council of the City of
South Bend, Indiana;
Section I. Ordinance No. 3702, being the zoning
ordinance of the City of South Bend, be, and the same hereby is
amended so that the zoning classification of the following
described real estate in the City of South Bend, St. Joseph
County, Indiana, towit:
"Lots A and B of Beverly Heights 2nd Addition
to the City of South Bend, being more commonly
described as being all of that contiguous tract
of land bounded by Donmoyer, St. Joseph,
Farneman, and Michigan Streets and being that
block located at the South East corner of
Michigan and Donmoyer Streets,"
be, and the same is hereby changed from "A" Residential District
and "A" Height and Area District to "B" Residential District
and "A" Height and Area District.
Section II. This ordinance sball be in full force
and effect from and after its passage by the Common Council,
approved by the Mayor, and Le

The attached petition of the Estate of Dean Tasher to
rezone from "A" Residential Use and "A" Height and Area
to "B" Residential Use and "B" Height and Area District
the property generally described as bounded on the east
by St. Joseph Street, on the west by Michigan Street, on
the north by Donmoyer Avenue, and on the south by Farneman
Avenue was legally advertised under date of August 26, 1963
and given public hearing on September 5, 1963. The following
action was taken:
After due consideration the Commission found that
the requested zoning was the most desirable for
the property and area in question. It was there-
fore duly moved, seconded, and unanimously carried
that the petition be recommended favorably to the
Council.
