TAYLOR FIRE CHIEF March 13, 2001 Ms. Charlotte Pfeifer South Bend Common Council 4th. Floor, County-City Building South Bend, Indiana 46601 Dear Ms. Pfeifer: Please find attached for filing an ordinance requesting an appropriation for $14,685.00 within the Haz-Mat Fund (#289). Revenues generated by the team (when responding out of the City) continue to be a great asset in defraying the expenses for the operation of this team. The appropriation is a request for necessary equipment and working capital expenses for the year of 2001. (see attached list) Battalion Chief Jim Lopez continues to head up this bureau and will be attending the caucus and will represent the Fire Department at the public meeting. During the year of 2000, the Haz-Mat team responded to five calls through out St. Joseph County and collected $ 14,037.90. Chief Lopez and myself will be available to answer any questions that you may have. Sincerely, ~u~.~ Luther Taylo Fire Chief 6 r i%y L ROBERT X. QUINN III BERT R.
