ORDINANCE NO.
AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE SALE OF A TRACT
OF LAND OWNED BY THE MUNICIPAL CITY OF SOUTH
BEND LOCATED IN THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, ST.
JOSEPH COUNTY, INDIANA, DESCRIBED AS FOLLOWS:
Lot No. 16, in Council Oaks Addition to the City of
South Bend.
WHEREAS, the Municipal City of South Bend is the owner of a certain
tract of land located in the City of South Bend, St. Joseph County, Indiana, and
WHEREAS, the said real estate herein described is conducive to no
public use by the Municipal City of South Bend, Indiana, and in the best
interests of said City should be sold.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA:
Section 1. That the Judge of the St. Joseph County Circuit Court be
requested to appoint three disinterested freeholders of the
City of South Bend to appraise a tract of land now owned
ed
by the Municipal City of South Bend, loca`n the City
of South Bend; St. Joseph County, Indiana, described as
follows:
Lot Numbered 16 in Council Oaks Addition to the City
of South Bend.
Section H. That the City of South Bend sell, assign, transfer, convey
and set over by proper instrument in writing, to any pur-
chaser thereof the real estate hereinabove described for
not less than the full appraised value thereof as reported
by the appraisers appointed by the Judge of the Circuit
Court of St. Joseph County, Indiana, and the Mayor is
hereby ordered, directed and authorized to execute and
deliver to such purchaser or purchasers thereof, upon
payment of the appraised value thereof, a good and suffi-
cient deed, and this shall be sufficient authority to him in
said premises.
Section III. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and
after its passage by the Common Council and its approval
by the Mayor.
