PROPOSED ORDINANCE NO.
AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE ANNEXATION OF
CERTAIN TERRITORY TO THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, TwANA
BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council of the City of South Bend, Indiana;
SECTION I. That the following described territory in St. Joseph County,
State of Indiana, be and the same is hereby annexed to and shall constitute Here-
after a part of the City of South Bend, Indiana;
A tract of land situated in the North Half of Section 31,
Township 37 North, Range 3 Last, described as beginning
at the Northwest corner of the Northeast Quarter of said
Section 31; thence South on the West line of the Northeast
Quarter of said Section 250 feet; thence East 35 feet;
thence North parallel with the West line of the Northeast
Quarter of said Section 250 feet; thence West 35 feet to
the place of beginning.
SECTION II. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and
after its passage by the Common Council of the City of South Bend, Indiana, approval
by the Mayor of the City of South Bend, Indiana, and legal publication.

The attached petition of Ora J. Stahl to annex to the
City of South Bend, Indiana ie property generally
described as being at the northwest corner of the north-
east one - quarter section of Section 31, T37N, R3E, being
at Jackson Road at the intersection of York Road continued
south and containing one lot 250 feet by 35 feet having
frontage on Jackson Road was legally advertised under date
of April 22, 1963 and given pbblic hearing on May 2, 1963.
The following action was taken:
After due consideration the Commission found
that in their opinion the six determinants of
annexation apply to the area in issued. It was
therefore duly moved, seconded, and unanimously
carried that the petition be recommended favorably
to the Council.
