AN ORDINANCE AMENDING AND SUPPLEMENTING
ZONING ORDINANCE NO. 3702
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH
BEND, INDIANA:
Section 1:
That Zoning Ordinance No. 3702, as heretofore amended,
be and the same is hereby amended and supplemented by changing
the zoning classification of the following described property
from "B" Residential Use and "A" Height and Area District to
"A" Residential Use and "A" Height and Area District:
Lots A -H inclusive, Lots J -11 inclusive and Lots
8, 9, 10, 55, 56, and 57 of Perkin's Ewing Avenue
Addition, also Lots 1, 2, and 3 of Anna Swygart's
Sub., Lots 10 -30 inclusive and Lot 1 and Lots
34 -58 inclusive of Swygart's 5th Addition, also
including Lots 1, 2, 3 and Lots 5 -52 inclusive of
Plat of Sumpton Prairie Avenue Addition, being
more generally described as bounded on the east
by Swygart Avenue, on the west by Gertrude Street,
on the north by Calvert Street, and on the south
by Ewing Avenue.
Section 2:
This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after its enactment, approval by the Mayor, and
legal publication.

The attached petition of the City Planning Commission to
rezone from "B" Residential Use and "A" Height and Area
District to "A" Residential Use and "A" Height and Area
District the property generally described as being bounded
on the east by Swygart Avenue, on the west by Gertrude
Street, on the north by Calvert Street, and on the south
by Ewing Avenue was legally advertised under date of
March 23, 1964 and given public hearing on April 2, 1964.
The following action was taken:
After due consideration the Commission found
that the predominant use in the subject area
is single family residential. It was therefore
duly moved, seconded, and unanimously carried
that the petition be recommended favorably to
the Council.
