FiEARliia 3rd P00 "G MOT At'FROVE® REFERSED PASSED ORDINANCE NO. 16 Z7 a AN ORDINANCE AMENDING AND SUPPLEMENTING ZONING ORDINANCE NO. 3702 BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA: Section 1- That Zoning Ordinance No. 3702, as heretofore amended, be and the same is hereby amended and supplemented by changing the zoning classification of the following described property from "B" Residential, "A" Height and Area District, to "C" Commercial, "A" Height and Area District; A part of the Southeast Quarter of Section 25, Township 37 North, Range 2 East, more particularly described as follows: Beginning at a point on the North line of the Southeast Quarter 450 feet West of the Northeast corner of the said Southeast Quarter of Section 25, Township 37 North, Range 2 East; thence West 286.3 feet along said North line; thence South 230.45 feet parallel to the East line of the said Southeast Quarter; thence East 286.3 feet parallel to the said North line of the said Southeast Quarter; thence North 230.45 feet parallel to the East line of said Southeast Quarter to the place of beginning. Section 2• This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its enactment, approval by the Mayor and legal publication. (Location: South side of Ireland Road West of Miami Road.) Respectfully report that they have examined the matter and that in their opinion this ordinance go to the Council as favorable. &�� 1 >%/ �Chairman April 3, 1964 The Honorable Common Council City of South Bend South Bend, Indiana Gentlemen: The attached petition of Place and Company, Inc. to rezone from "B" Residential Use and "A" Height and Area District to "C" Commercial Use and "A!' Height and Area District the property generally described as having 286.3 feet frontage on the south right —of —way line of Ireland Road and lying 450 feet, more or less, west of the centerline of Miami Road was legally advertised under date of February 24, 1964 and given public hearing on March 5, 1964. The following action was taken: After due consideration the Commission found that due to the topography of the land and the adjacent commercially zoned property the requested zoning was in the best interest of the subject area.
