AN ORDINNANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 3702 COMMONLY KNOP :N AS TIME ZONING ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SOUTH LEND, INDIANA Be it ordained by the Common Council of the City of South end, Indiana; Section I. Ordinance No. 3702, being the zoning ordinance of the City of South Bend, be, and the same hereby is, amended so that the zoning classification of the following described real estate in the City of ;south Bend, 5t. Joseph County, Indiana, to -wit: A portion of the south half (1/2) of the south- west quarter (1/4) and a portion of the south half (1/2) of the southeast quarter (1/4) of Section 35, Tov-Inship 38 North, Range 2 East, and a part of the City of mouth Bend, Portage Township, St. Joseph County, Indiana; more parti- cularly described as follows: Beginning at a point which is the point of inter- section of the centerline extended of the alley north of Kinyon Street with the centerline of Riverside Drive, said point of beginning being One Thousand Three Hundred Thirty and Sixty -seven :Hundredths (1330.67) feet east of the center- line of Sherman Street; thence westerly along and with the north line of the south half (1/2) of the southeast quarter (1/4) of .Section 35, a distance of One Thousand Twenty (1020) feet; thence southeasterly along a line with a deflection angle of One Hundred Twenty -four Degrees, Forty Minutes Left (124 °40'L), a distance of Six Hundred Twenty (620) feet more or less to the point of intersection with the centerline of Riverside Drive; thence northeasterly along and with the centerline of Riverside Drive to the point of beginning. Containing Six (6) acres more or less and being subject to all dedicated rights -of -way and utility easements. be and the same is hereby changed from "D" Light Industrial District and "D" height and Area District to "B" Residential District and "E" !Height and Area District. Section II. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage by the Common Council, approva'I by the Mayor, and Legal Publication. T —T B..TCA March 9, 1964 The Honorable Common Council City of South Bend South Bend, Indiana Gentlemen: The attached petition of the Lock Joint Tube Co., Inc., et al, to rezone from "D" Light Industrial Use and "D" Height and Area District to "B" Residential Use and "B" Height and Area District a triangular tract of land bounded on the north by the rear lot lines of those lots fronting on the south right -of -way line of Rose Street and on the southeast by Riverside Drive was legally advertised under date of February 24, 1964 and given a public hearing on March 5, 1964, The following action was taken: After due consideration the Commission found that the proposed zoning would be in the best interest of the City and the area.
