AN ORDINANCE OF THE COMMON COUNCII. OF THE CITY OF
SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, APPROPRIATING $3,807.00 FROM THE
EMS FUND (FUND N0.288)
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE AND INTENT
The City of South Bend through its Fire Department operates Emergency Medical
Services, part of which involves First Responders stationed at each and every South Bend Fire
Department station. In order to operate at full efficiency and best protect the public, the South
Bend Fire Department EMS needs to purchase additional equipment. r
Section I. The following sum of money is hereby appropriated and ordered set apart from
and within the South Bend Fire Department EMS Fund (Fund No. 288) for the purchase of new
equipment.

Dear Ms. Pfeifer:
Please find attached for filing an Ordinance requesting an appropriation
for 53,807.00 from a donation to the South Bend Fire Department-EMS.
This donation was received from Mr. Doug Johnson, in honor of his
mother, Theresa Molnar Johnson.
The money from this donation will be used to purchase Nonin-Hand Held
Pulse Oximeters that will be placed on the First Responder Companies.
If you have any questions, I will be available to answer them.
