AN ORDINANCE AMENDING AND SUPPLEMENTING
ZONING ORDINANCE NO. 3702
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH
BEND, INDIANA:
Section 1•
That.Zoning Ordinance No. 3702, as heretofore amended,
be and the same is hereby amended and supplemented by
changing the zoning classification of the following described
property from "B" Residential Use and "A" Height and
Area District to "A" Residential Use and "A" Height and
Area District:
Lots 1, 2, 3, 6, 71 82 9, 10, and 11 of Kemble Addition,
also Lots 120 -164 inclusive and Lots 174 -199 inclusive
of Raff's 4th Addition, being more generally described
as being bounded on the east by the first north -south
alley west of Kendall Street, on the west by Kemble
Avenue, on the north by Indiana Avenue, and on the south
by Calvert Street.
Section 2•
This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from
and after its enactment, approval by the Mayor, and
legal publication.

The attached petition of the City Planning Commission to
rezone from "B" Residential Use and "A" Height and Area
District to "A" Residential Use and "A" Height and Area
District the property generally described as being bounded
on the east by the first north —south alley west of
Kendall Street, on the west by Kemble Avenue, on the
north by Indiana Avenue and on the south by.,Calvert Street
was legally advertised under date of January 27, 1964 and
given public hearing on February 6, 1964. The following
action was taken:
After due consideration the Commission determined
that 98% of the area is now in single family use.
It was therefore duly moved, seconded, and
unanimously carried that the petition be recommended
favorably to the Council.
