AN ORDINANCE AMENDING AND SUPPLEMENTING
ZONING ORDINANCE NO. 3702
(Northwest comer of Linden & College)
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND,
INDIANA:
Section 1:
That Zoning Ordinance No. 3702, as heretofore amended,
be and the same is hereby amended and supplemented by
changing the zoning classification of the following described
property from "D" Residential Use District and "F" Height and
Area District to "B" Residential Use and "A" Height and Area
District:
Lots Numbered 15, 16, 17 and 18 in Raff, Sibley & Fassnacht's
Linden Place Addition to the City of South Bend.
Section 2:
This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and
after its enactment, approval by the Mayor, and legal publication.

The attached petition of Katherine Jennings to rezone from
"D" Light Industrial Use and "F" Height and Area District
to "B" Residential Use and "A" Height and Area District
Lots 15, 160 17, and 18 Linden Place Addition, being more
generally described as being bounded on the east by College,
on the south by Linden, on the west by Chicago, Indiana
and Southern Railroad right -of -way, and on the north by
the first east -west alley north of Linden was legally
advertised under date of November 30, 1963 and given public
hearing on December 10, 1963. The following action was
taken:
After due consideration the Commission found
that the general area is in residential use,
that the present industrial zoning is very
questionable and that the present use of the
subject area is residential. It was therefore
duly moved, seconded, and unanimously carried
that the petition be recommended favorably to
the Council.
