AN ORDINANCE TO CREATE AN INDUSTRIAL DEVELOP -
MENT FUND AND TO APPROPRIATE $100,000.00 OUT
OF SAID FUND FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF MUNICI-
PAL IMPROVEMENTS
WHEREAS, the City of South Bend has heretofore applied" for
and received the sum of $100,000.00 as a loan to the City of South
Bend from the Industrial Development Fund of the State of Indiana
as created by the Acts of the Indiana General Assembly for 1965,
Chapter 186, and;
WHEREAS, an Industrial Development program as defined in the
Acts of 1965 of the Indiana General Assembly, Chapter 186 has been
established and approved by the Indiana Department of Commerce, Agri-
culture, Industry and Public Relations.
NOW THEREFORE, be it ordained by the Common Council of the
City of South Bend:
SECTION I. There is hereby created for said city from and
out of all the proceeds of said loan, a fund to be known as the In-
dustrial Development Fund.
SECTION II. There is hereby appropriated from and out of
said fund the sum of $100,000.00 for the purpose of constructing
municipal improvements in pursuance of the development of the South
Bend industrial development program.
SECTION III. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after its passage by the Common Council, its approval by the
Mayor, legal publication and the fulfillment of all statutory require-
ments.
