ZONING ORDINANCE NO. 3702

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND,
INDIANA:
Section 1•
That Zoning Ordinance No. 3702, as heretofore amended, be
and the same is hereby amended and supplemented by changing
the zoning classification of the following described property
from "B" Residential Use and "D" Light Industrial Use and "A"
Height and Area District to "A" Residential Use and "A" Height
and Area District:
Lots 22, 23,.24 of G. W. Swygart's 3rd Addition
Replat, and Lots 1 -60 inclusive of Walnut Addition,
being more generally described as being bounded
on the North by Indiana Avenue, on the South by
the 1st East -West alley North of Prairie Avenue,
on the East by Walnut Street, and on the West
by the lst North -South alley West of Magnolia
Street.
Section 2•
This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from
and after its enactment, approval by the Mayor, and legal
publication.

The attached petition of the City Planning Commission to
rezone from "B" Residential Use and "D" Light Industrial
Use and "A" Height and Area District to "A" Residential
Use and "A" Height and Area District the property bounded
on the North by Indiana Avenue, on the South by the first
East -West alley North of Prairie Avenue, on the East
by Walnut Street, and on the West by the 1st North -South
alley West of Magnolia Street.was legally advertised
under date of September 21, 1964 and given public hearing
on October 1, 1964. The following action was taken:
After due consideration the Commission found
that the predominant use in the subject area
is single family residential. It was therefore
duly moved, seconded, and unanimously carried
that the petition be recommended favorably to
the Council.
