VYPIZREAS, Certain extraordinary conditions have developed since the adoption of the e.;istil °:g annual budget, so that it hi now nec- essary to appropriate more money than was appropriated in the annual budget, for the - ar'.ous functions of city government to meet such extraordinary emergencies: S= _10N I. BE IT ORDAINED, by the Common Council of the City of South Bend, indiana, that for the expenses of City Government and its institutions for the year ending December 31, 1964, the following suras of money are hereby appropriated and set apart out of the fund herein named and for the purpose herein specified, subject to the laws governi:lg the same, and such sums herein appropriated shall be held to include all expenditures authorized to be made during the year, unless otherwise expressly stipulated and provided by law. SECTION IT_. That for said fiscal year there is hereby appro- priate out of the city fund hereinafter designated, the following specified a!nou.nt to meet such extraordinary emergencies by trans- ferring e. _id sum to the follo•.ving account. General Fund Sanitation Department Account X' -'252, Services, Contractual, Repairs of Equipment, $3,549.00. SECTIOI4 ". II. WHEREAS, it has been shown that certain existing appropriations now have unobligated balances which will not be needed for the purpose herein for which appropriated it is therefore, further ordained by the aforesaid Common Council that such unnecess- ary existing appropriations are now reduced by transferring from the follcsng account the amount hereinafter designated: General Fund Sanitation Department Sanitation department XX -722 Properties, Motor Equipment $3,549.00. SECTION I9. Respectfully report that they have examined the matter and that in their opinion this ordinance go to the Council as favorable. Chairman
