ORDINANCE N0. 6�� ING AN ORDINANCE
AMENDING ORDINANCE N . 3702, AS AMENDED,
COMMONLY KNOWN AS THE ZONING ORDINANCE
OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA:
Section 1. Ordinance No. 3702, as amended, which
ordinance is commonly known as the Zoning Ordinance of the City of
South Bend, Indiana, be and the same hereby is amended in order
that the zoning classification of the following described real
estate in the City of South Bend, St. Joseph County, State of
Indiana:
A lot or parcel of land containing 75 acres, taken
off of and from the entire length of the North side
of North West quarter of Section No. 31, Township
No. 37 North,, Range No. 3 East, excepting therefrom
the following tracts:
(1) Beginning at the North East corner of said
quarter Section, thence running West a distance
of 826 feet; thence South 866.5 feet; thence East
226.19 feet; thence South 371 feet; thence East
602 feet to the East line of said quarter Section;
thence North along the East line of said quarter
Section 1237.5 feet to the place of beginning, also
(2) The North 495 feet of said North West quarter
of said Section No. 31, Township No. 37 North,
Range No. 3 East; also
(3) Part of the North Half (z) of the Northwest
Quarter (14) of Section 31, Township 37 North,
Range 3 East, formed by a line running as follows,
to -wit: Beginning at a point that is on the West
line of Section 31, Township 37 North, Range 3
East and 495 feet South of the Northwest corner of
said Section 31; thence continuing South along the
West line of Section 31 for a distance of 266 feet;
thence East parallel to the North line of said
3_6141 Section 31 for a distance of 429 feet; thence North
parallel to the West line of said section for a
distance of 266 feet; thence West for a distance
of 429 feet to the point of beginning. The above
described tract contains 2.62 acres more or less.

Said real estate is located on the East side of
Miami Road and the substantial portion thereof
commences 495 feet South of Jackson Road and ex-
tends for a distance of approximately 742.62 feet
Southerly therefrom.

District and an "A" Height and Area District under such ordinance.
Section 2. This ordinance shall be in full force and
effect from and after its passage by the Common Council, approval
by the Mayor, and legal publiGat.

The attached petition of Al Nall & Associates to zone
recently annexed land "A" Residential Use and "A" Height
and Area District was legally advertised under date of
June 22, 1964 and given public hearing on July 2, 1964.
The following action was taken:
After due consideration the Commission found
that the proposed zoning would be in the best
interest of the area. It was therefore duly
moved, seconded and unanimously carried that
the petition be recommended favorably to the
Council.
