AN ORDINANCE AMENDING AND SUPPLEMENTING
ZONING ORDINANCE NO. 3702
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH
BEND, INDIANA:
Section 1:
That Zoning Ordinance No. 3702, as heretofore amended,
be and the same is hereby amended and supplemented by changing
the zoning classification of the following described property
from "B" Residential Use and "A" and "B" Height and Area
District to "A" Residential Use and "A" Height and Area District:
Lots 1 -18 inclusive and Lots 23 -26 inclusive of
University Place, Lots 1, 3, 5 and 7 -14 inclusive
of Hickey's Sub; Lot 146 except the Southeast corner
which measures approximately 159 feet by 198 feet
and Lot 151 except the Northeast corner which
measures approximately 158 feet by 198 feet of
Part of Sorin's 2nd Addition; also Lots 1 -6
inclusive of Stanfield & Foster Addition, plus
Lots 1 -4 inclusive of Lechner & Hibberd's Sub. of
Lots in Stanfield and Foster Addition; more gen-
erally described as being bounded on the North
by St. Vincent. Street, on the East by Hill Street,
on the South by Corby Street, on the West by Niles
Avenue and a line running North and South approx-
imately 237 feet west of Lawrence Street.
Section 2•
This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from
and after its enactment, approval by the Mayor, and legal
publication.

The attached petition of the City Planning Commission to
rezone from "B" Residential Use and "A" and "B" Height
and Area District to "A" Residential Use and "A" Height
and Area District the property generally described as
bounded on the North by St. Vincent Street, on the East
by Hill Street, on the South by Corby Street, and on
the West by Niles Avenue and a line running North and
South approximately 237 feet west of Lawrence Street was
legally advertised under date of July 27, 1964 and
given public hearing on August 6, 1964. The following
action was taken:
After due consideration the Commission found
that the predominant use in the subject area
was single family residential. It was there-
fore duly moved, seconde4 and unanimously
carried that the petition be recommended
favorably to the Council.
