HomeMy WebLinkAboutZoning - South Western Ave, North New York Central R.R. and North of the Grand Trunk Wetern Railway CoORDINANCE No. 4688 - -64 Passed by the Common Council of the City of South Bend, 4epegmh r 28, 1964 Presented by me to the Mayor of the City of South Bend, Approved and signed by Seytember 29 1964 Clerk of Common Council Clerk IDEAL OMESNP PRESS ORDINANCE NO. 4,16 0-r- AN ORDINANCE AMENDING AND SUPPLEMENTING ZONING ORDINANCE NO. 3702 BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH )SEND, INDIANA: Section 1• That Zoning Ordinance No. 3702, as heretofore amended, be and the same is hereby amended and supplemented by changing the zoning classification of the following described property from "D" Light Industrial Use and "F" Height and Area District to "C" Commercial Use and "C" Height and Area District: All of Comm's Subdivision of Bank Out Lot 92, all of Bakers Subdivision of Part of Bank Out Lot 92, all of Guilfoyles Addition (unrecorded) which is part of Bank Out Lot 93 and all of thoseparts of Bank Out Lots 91, 92, and 93 of the 2nd Plat of Out Lots of the Town, now City of South Bend, as platted by the State Bank of Indiana, which lie south of the south right - of -way line of Western Avenue, north of the north right -of -way line of the New York Central -R. R. Company, and north of the former south right- of-way line of the Grand Trunk Western Rail- way Company. Section 2• This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its enactment, approval by the Mayor, and legal publication. MURPHY. 159—ANi DIRECTOR The attached petition of the City Planning Commission to rezone from "D" Light Industrial Use and "F" Height and Area District to "C" Commercial Use and "C" Height and Area District the property lying South of the south right -of -way line of Western Avenue, North of the north right -of -way line of the New York Central Railroad Co., and North of the former south right -of -way line of the Grand Trunk Western Railway Company was legally advertised under date of July 27, 1964 and given public hearing on August 6, 1964. The following action was taken: After due consideration the Commission found that the proposed rezoning was in the best interest of the subject area.
