AN ORDINANCE AMENDING AND SUPPLEMENTING
ZONING ORDINANCE NO. 3702

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND,
INDIANA:
Section 1•
That Zoning Ordinance No. 3702, as heretofore amended,
be and the same is hereby amended and supplemented by changing
the zoning classification of the following described property
from "B" Residential Use and "A" Height and Area District to
"A -1" Residential Use and "A" Height and Area District:
Lots 1, 22 3, and 4 of Platt's Addition, Lots 1 -6
inclusive, 9 -37 inclusive, 39 -46 inclusive, 51 -65
inclusive, 67 -74 inclusive and Lots 81, 82 and Lot
76 of Fisher's South Side Survey, Lots 1 -9 inclusive
of Platt's 2nd Addition, Lots 8 -31 inclusive and
Lots 35 -50 inclusive of Demler's 2nd Addition, being
more generally described as parcels of land bounded
on the East by Leer Street, on the West by the first
North -South alley West of Marine Street and Mumford
Court, on the North by Indiana Avenue, and on the
South by the rear lot line of lots fronting on the
North right -of -way line of Bowman Street.
Section 2:
This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from
and after its enactment, approval by the Mayor, and legal
publication.

Gentlemen:
The attached petition of the City Planning Commission to
rezone "from "B" Residential Use and "A" Height and Area
District to "A -1" Residential Use and "A" Height and
Area District the property being generally described as
bounded on the East by Leer Street, on the West by the
first north -south alley West of Marine Street and Mumford
Court, on the North by Indiana Avenue, and on the South
by the rear lot line of lots fronting on the North right -
of -way line of Bowman Street was legally advertised under
date of January 25, 1965 and given public hearing on
February 4, 1965. The following action was taken:
After due consideration the Commission found
that the proposed zone change would be in the
best interest of the subject property. It was
therefore duly moved, seconded, and unanimously
carried that the petition be recommended favorably
to the Council.
