ORDINANCE NO. 4788 -65
AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING TO AND BRINGING WITHIN THE
CITY LIMITS OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, CERTAIN LANDS
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND,
INDIANA:
Section 1:
That the following described property in St. Joseph
County, State of Indiana, is hereby annexed to and brought
within the City of South Bend, Indiana:
Beginning at a point on the present city limits
which is 40 feet east of the southeast corner of
the southeast one - quarter of Section 25, T37N,
R2E, thence west along the south line of said
Section 25, 3161..2 feet, thence North 650.85 feet,
thence east 511.2 feet, thence North 127.63 feet,
thence East 2642.11 feet, thence South 778.48
feet to the point of beginning, containing an
area of 54.5 acres, more or less and abutting the
present city limits along a portion of the easterly
side of the subject area, being commonly known as
the Jackson School property.
Section 2
This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from
and after its enactment, approval by the Mayor, and legal
publication.
