CITY LIMITS OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA,CERTAIN LANDS
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND,
INDIANA:
Section 1•
That the following described property in St. Joseph
County, State of Indiana, is hereby annexed to and brought
within the City of South Bend, Indiana:
A tract of land situated in the northwest
one - quarter of Section 27, T38N, R2E, con-
taining 29,.84 acres, more or less, and described
hereinunder as follows: Beginning at a point
on the east -west centerline of said Section
27, which is 35 feet east of the southwest
corner of the northwest one - quarter of said Ist&2nd READING
Section 27, thence northerly along a line 35
feet east of and narallel to the centerline OOPAMITTEE OF THE WHOLE �-Gs
of Maple Road, which is also the west line PUBLIO HEARING
of said Section 27 for a distance of 660
feet, to the present city limits, thence 3rd READING
easterly along the present city limits a NOT APPROVED
distance of 1395.6 feet; thence southerly
along the present city limits a distance of REFERRER
660 feet, thence westerly along the present PASSED 7.- o7_ 9, -6 S'
city limits a distance of 1395.6 feet to the
point of beginning, and being bounded on the
north, east and south by the present city
limits and on the west by Maple Road.
Section 2:
This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from
and after its enactment, approval by the Mayor, and legal
publication.

to whom was referred "AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING TO AND BRINGING WITHIN THE CITY LIMITS OF
SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, CERTAIN LANDS,
(Location; 29.84 acres, more or less, bounded on the East, North and South by the

The attached petition of the Common Council to annex to
the -City of South Bend, Indiana approx ely 29,84 acres
generally described as bounded on the east, north and
south by the present city limits, on the west by Maple
Road and lying between Cleveland Road and Lathrop was
legally advertised under date of May 24, 1965 and given
public hearing on June 3, 1965. The following action was
taken:
After due consideration the Commission found
that the proposal met the six determinants of
annexation. It was therefore duly moved,
seconded, and unanimously carried that the
petition be recommended favorably to the
Council.
