AN ORDINANCE FOR AN ADDITIONAL APPROPRIATION
TO THE ACCOUNT V 722 " MOTOR EQUIPMENT" IN

SAME FROM ACCOUNT MVH - 422 "SALT ", BOTH
ACCOUNTS BEING WITHIN THE MOTOR VEHICLE
HIGHWAY FUND, 19 s
WHEREAS, Certain extraordinary conditions have developed since the adoption of the
existing annual budget so that it is now necessary to appropriate more money than was
appropriated in the annual budget for the various functions of city government to meet
such extraordinary conditions; and,
WHEREAS, Additional motor equipment is needed by the Street Department to assure
its ability to properly perform its function; and,
WHEREAS, A surplus exists in another account where it is not presently needed,
therefore:
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND,
INDIANA:

Section I. That the sum of 6 be transferred from Account MVH -422,
designated as "Salt ", and transferred and appropriated to Account MVH - 722,
designated as "Motor Equipment ", both accounts being within the Motor Vehicle
Highway Fund.
Section II. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage
by the Common Council, its approval by the Mayor, legal publication and the
fulfillment of all statutory requirements of emergency appropriations.

ACCOUNT MVH - 422 "SALT ", BOTH ACCOUNTS BEING WITHIN. THE MOTOR VEHICLE HIGHWAY FUND."
Respectfully report that they have examined the matter and that in their opinion the Ordinance go to the
Council as favorable, as amended to read $18,000.00 , as from $28,000.00
