AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING $2,000.00 FROM
THE GENERAL FUND FOR THE USE OF THE
BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS AND SAFETY IN
CONNECTION WITH THE SESQUICENTENNIAL
CELEBRATION OF THE STATEHOOD OF
INDIANA.
WHEREAS, certain extraordinary conditions have developed since
the adoption of the existing annual budget so that it is now
necessary,to appropriate more money than was appropriated in
the annual budget for the various functions of city government
to meet such extraordinary emergencies, therefore:
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND,
INDIANA:
SECTION I. That for expenses incidental to the Sesquicentennial
Celebration of the Statehood of Indiana, there is hereby
appropriated from the General Fund to the Board of Public Works
and Safety of the City of South Bend, the sum of $2,000.00.
SECTION II. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after its passage by the Common Council, its approval
by the Mayor, legal publication and the fulfillment of all
statutory requirements for emergency appropriations.
