Ordinance Affecting
305 Manchester Drive
ORDINANCE NO. 4772 -65
Be it enacted by the Common Council of the City of
South Bend, Indiana that:
Section 1 - Zoning Ordinance No. 3702 of the City of
South Bend, Indiana, be and the same is hereby amended,
supplemented and changed in Section 2 thereof to provide that
the following described real estate located in the City of
South Bend, Indiana:
Lot Numbered Two Hundred :•S_^ety -seven (297)
in McKinley Terrace Addition, a subdivision
now within the City of Sout_= Bend, as shown
in the recorded plat thereof it -Plat Book 18,
Page MC together with the tract of land
abutting the said Lot Two Hundred Ninety -seven
(297) on the Westerly-side thereof, described
as: beginning at the southwest corner of the
said Lot 297 of McKinley Terrace Addition;
thence West 17.5 feet; thence North 114.10 feet;
thence East 17.5 feet to the westerly boundary of
said Lot 297 thence south along the said westerly
boundary a distance of 114.10 feet to the place
of beginning.

Section 2 - This Ordinance to be in full force and
effect from and after its enactment, the approval of the
Mayor, and its publication according to law.

The attached petition of William E. Gunn Jr. to rezone
from "A" Residential Use to "B" Residential Use 305
Manchester Drive was legally advertised under date of
May 24, 1965 and given public hearing under date of June
3, 1965. The following action was taken:
After due consideration the Commission found
that the proposed zoning would provide a
buffer between the highway and commercial
uses and the dwellings to the north of the
subject property. It was therefore duly
moved, seconded, and carried (5 -1) that
the petition be recommended favorably to
the Council.
