AN ORDINANCE AMENDING AND SUPPLEMENTING
ZONING ORDINANCE NO. 3702

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND,
INDIANA:
Section 1•
That Zoning Ordinance No. 3702, as heretofore amended,
be and the same is hereby amended and supplemented by changing
the zoning classification of the following described property
from "D" Light Industrial Use and "B" Residential Use and "F"
and "A" Height and Area District to "-A" Residential Use and "A"
Height and Area District:
Lots 174 -196 inclusive, Lots 199 -223 inclusive,
lots 226 -243 inclusive of Part of Olivers 2nd
Addition Revised, lots 82 -89r inclusive of Part 161 &2nd READING Iv ��GS
of John H. Swygart's replat of lots in G. W. DOMMEE OF THE W*&-�'
Swygart's 3rd Addition, lots 67 -70 inclusive
of part of G. W. Swygart's 3rd Addition replat and PUBLIC HEARING /a -�3-
and lot 66 of John H. Swygart's Re -plat of 3rd READING 7- /Y'4- J—
lots in G. W. Swygart's 3rd Addition, being
generally described as bounded on the East by NOT APPROVED
McPherson Street, on the West by Walnut Street, REFERRED
on the North by the South Bend, St. Joseph and PASGED
Southern Railroad and on the South by Indiana
Avenue.
Section 2•
This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from
and after its enactment, approval by the Mayor, and legal
publication.

The attached petition of the City Planning Commission to
rezone from "D" Light Industrial Use and "B" Residential
Use and "F" & "A" Height and Area District to "A" Residential
Use and "A" Height and Area District the property generally
being bounded on the East by McPherson Street, on the West
by Walnut Street, on the North by the South Bend, St, Joseph
and Southern Railroad and on the south by Indiana Avenue
was legally advertised under date of May 24, 1965 and given
public hearing on June 3, 1965. The following action was
taken:
After due consideration the Commission found
that of an apparent 81 lots, 76 appear to be
used residentially (72 for single family
dwellings, 2 for apartment buildings and two
residential- commercial uses.). It was there-
fore duly moved, seconded, and unanimously
carried that the petition be recommended
favorably to the Council.
