AN ORDINANCE FOR ADDITIONAL APPROPRIATIONS
FROM THE MOTOR VEHICLE HIGHWAY FUND TO VAR-
IOUS ACCOUNTS OF THE STREET DEPARTMENT IN THE
AMOUNT OF $18,000.00.
WHEREAS, Certain extraordinary conditions have developed since
the adoption of the existing annual budget, so that it is now necessary
to appropriate more money than was appropriated in the annual budget
for the various. functions of City Government to meet such extraordinary
contingencies; and
WHEREAS, Additional funds are urgently needed by the Street De-
partment to assure its ability to properly perform its function and the
sum of $18,000.00 is needed forthwith;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SOUTH BEND, That the sum of $18,000.00 be appropriated from the Motor
Vehicle Highway Fund to the following Accounts, to -wit.
1.
MVH -252
Repairs of Equipment
$5,000.00
2.
MVH -263
Other Contractual Services
1,500.00
3.
MVH -324
Other Garage & Motor Supplies
2,500.00
4.
MVH -43
Repair Parts
6,000.00
5.
MVH -44
Other Materials
3,000.00
This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after
its passage by the Council, approval by the Mayor and fulfillment of
all statutory requirements for emergency appropriations.
