HomeMy WebLinkAboutAppropriating and Transferring $5,000.00 into Account Designated as Services Contractual, Repairs of EquipmentORDINANCE No. 4aia -o Passed by the Common Council of the City of South Bend, Presented by me to the Mayor of the City of South Bend, Approved and signed by Clerk of Common Council 10EAL PRE66 AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING AND TRANSFERRING $5,000.00 INTO ACCOUNT XX -252, DESIGNATED AS SERVICES CON- TRACTUAL, REPAIRS OF EQUIPMENT, BY TRANSFERRING IT FROM ACCOUNTS XX -321, DESIGNATED AS SUPPLIES, GASOLINE, AND XX -722, DESIGNATED AS PROPERTIES, MOTOR EQUIPMENT, RESPECTIVELY, AND REPEALING ORDINANCES NUMBERED 4794 -65 and 4795 -65, HERETOFORE PASSED, ALL IN THE GENERAL FUND, WHEREAS, Certain extraordinary conditions have developed since the adoption of the existing annual budget so that it is now necessary to transfer funds in the annual budget for the various functions of City Government to meet such extraordinary contingencies; and WHEREAS, Additional repair services are urgently needed by the Sanitation Department to assure its ability to properly perform its function and the sum of $5,000.00 is needed forthwith; and WHEREAS, a surplus exists in other accounts where it is not presently needed at this time; and more specifically as follows, to -wit: 1. Two Thousand Five Hundred Dollars ($2,500.00) in Account XX -722, Properties, Motor Equipment; and Two Thousand Five Hundred Dollars ($2,500.00) in Account XX -321, Supplies, Gasosine. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, That: 2. Five Thousand Dollars ($5,000.00) is hereby appropriated to and transferred into Account XX -252, designated as Services Contractual, Repairs of Equipment, by transferring Two Thousand Five Hundred Dollars ($2,500.00) from Account XX -722, Properties, Motor Equipment, and Two Thousand Five Hundred Dollars ($2,500.00) from Account XX -321, Supplies, Gasoline. 3. Ordinances numbered 4794 -65 and 4795 -65, which are in conflict herewith, are hereby repealed. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage by the Council, approval by the Mayor, and com- pliance with all statutory requirements of emergency appropriations.
