AN ORDINANCE TRANSFERRING $80,974.23 FRO
THE SOUTH BEND -ST. JOSEPH COUNTY BUILDI�T C�HRKYSOLTHgBQUDGNv.
AUTHORITY FUND TO THE GENERAL FUND OF
SOUTH BEND AND APPROPRIATING $80,974.23 TO
ACCOUNT 1,71- BUILDINGS, STRUCTURES AND
IMPROVEMENTS, SAID ACCOUNT BEING IN THE
GENERAL FUND.
WHEREAS, certain extraovdinary conditions have developed
since the adoption of the existing annual budget, so that it now is
necessary to transfer certain funds to the General Fund and to
appropriate more money than was appropriated in the annual budget
for the various functions of city government to meet such extra-
ordinary emergencies, and
WHEREAS, there was established by resolution of the
Common Council The South Bend, St. Joseph County Building Authority,'
which was to plan, build and operate a joint City - County Building, and
WHEREAS, such a facility is now to be constructed by other
legal means, and
WHEREAS, certain funds in the amount of $80,974.23 have been
provided by the City of South Bend and appropriated to a South Bend -
St. Joseph County Building Authority Fund:
Section I. Be it ordained by the Common Council of the City
of South Bend, Indiana that the sum of $80,974.23 be and the same is
hereby transferred from the South Bend -St. Joseph County Building
Authority Fund to the General Fund of South Bend.
Section II. Be it further ordained by the Common Council of
the City of South Bend, Indiana that for the expenses of the city
for the year ending December 31, 1966 there is hereby appropriated
to Account L71- Buildings, Structures and Improvements -the sum of
$80,974.23, the same being in the General Fund.
Section III. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after its passage by the Common Council, its approval by
the Mayor and the fulfillment of all statutory requirements of
emergency appropriations.
