INDIANA, 1962, AS AMENDED, ALSO KNOWN
AS ORDINANCE NO. 4563, THE SUBDIVISION

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH
BEND, INDIANA: That
Section 1:
That Section IV -E of the Municipal Code of the City of
South Bend, Indiana, 1962, also known as Ordinance No. 4563,
be amended by the addition thereto of the following:
5. The final plat shall be recorded within -tIONNOWNIOW) 1 Year
after approval by the Area Plan Commission in the
records of the St, Joseph County Recorder or such final plat
approval will expire. The subdivider will furnish to the
Area Plan Commission within 10 days after the final plat is
recorded, three (3) copies of the final plat which will
have shown thereon the stamp of said recorder setting forth
the time and date recorded, serial number, plat book and
page number.
Section 2:
This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from
and after its enactment, approval by the Mayor, and legal
publication.

The attached ordinance amending the Municipal Code of
the City of South Bend, Indiana, 1962, as amended, also
known as Ordinance No. 4563, the Subdivision Ordinance
of the City of South Bend, Indiana was legally advertised
under date of March 5, 1966 and given public hearing on
March 15, 1966. The following action was taken:
After due consideration it was moved
by Mr. Taylor, seconded by Mr. Wise
and unanimously carried that the ord-
inance be recommended favorably to the
Common Council.
The deliberations of the Area Plan Commission are shown
in the excerpts of the minutes attached hereto and made
a part of this report.

EXCERPTS FROM THE MINUTES OF THE AREA PLAN COMMISSION
MEETING HELD ON MARCH 15, 1966
2. The Secretary now read a proposed ordinance amending the
Municipal Code of the City of South Bend, Indiana, 1962,
as amended, also known as Ordinance No. 4563, the Sub-
division Ordinance of the City of South Bend, Indiana,
relative to the recording of final plats.
Mr. Wilson stated that the purpose of the amendment was to
spell out the necessity of recording final plats and the
information required.
No one appeared in remonstrance.
After due consideration it was moved by Mr. Taylor, seconded
by Mr. Wise and unanimously carried that the ordinance be
recommended favorably to the Common Council.
