AN ORDINANCE FOR AN ADDITIONAL APPROPRIATION
TO THE ACCOUNT P -727, "RADIO EQUIPMENT "; IN THE
AMOUNT OF $30, 000 AND THE TRANSFER OF THE SAME
FROM P -11 "SERVICES PERSONAL ", BOTH ACCOUNTS
BEING WITHIN THE GENERAL FUND.
WHEREAS, Certain extraordinary conditions have developed since the adoption of the
existing annual budget so that it is now necessary to appropriate more money than was
appropriated in the annual budget for the various functions of city government to meet
such extraordinary conditions; and,
WHEREAS, Additional funds are needed by the Police Department to procure a
Radio Communications Control Center to assure its ability to properly perform its
function; and,
WHEREAS, A surplus exists in another account where it is not presently needed,
therefore:
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND,
INDIANA:
Section I. That the sum of $30, 000 be transferred from Account P -11, designated
as "Services Personal" , and transferred and appropriated to Account P -727,
designated as "Radio Equipment ", both accounts being within the General Fund.
Section II. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage
by the Common Council, its approval by the Mayor, legal publication and the
fulfillment of all statutory requirements of emergency appropriations.
