AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE ACCEPTANCE
OF A GIFT OF PERSONAL PROPERTY TO BE
DONATED BY THE STUDEBAKER CORPORATION
TO THE MUNICIPAL CITY OF SOUTH BEND,
INDIANA.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE MUNICIPAL CITY
OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA:
SECTION I: That the offer of Studebaker Corporation to give
and donate to the Municipal City of South Bend, Indiana,
exclusively' for public display in perpetuum, certain personal
property as more partictalarly.described in the Indenture of
General Conveyance and schedule "N' attached thereto an
instrument O-Atitiied "Agreement Accepting Gift" tendered for,
consideration by the Common Council df the Municipal City of
South Bend, Indiana, is in the public interests and that said
offer and gift of said property, subject to the reservations
contained in said Indenture of General CGhveyance hn instrument
entitled "Agreement Accepting Gift ", is hereby accepted on
behalf of the Municipal City of South Bend, Indiana.
SECTION II: That the Mayor and City Clerk of the
Municipal City of South Bend, Indiana are authorized, empowered
and directed to execute and deliver said "Agreement Accepting
Gift" and said indenture of general conveyance in order that
all of the reservations, agreements and terms thereof will be
binding upon the Municipal City of South Bend, Indiana.

This INDENTURE OF GENERAL CONVEYANCE dated July 19,
1966 by and between STUDEBAKER CORPORATION, a Michigan corpora-
tion, having a place of business at 635 South Main Street, South.
Bend, Indiana (hereinafter called Donor) and CIVIL CITY OF SOUTH
BEND, an Indiana municipal corporation, (hereinafter called
Donee)
W I T N E S S E T H;
WHEREAS, Donor has for many years manufactured various
types of vehicles at its facilities located in South Bend, Indiana;
and
WHEREAS, Donor has collected and retained over the years
examples of the various types of vehicles manufactured by it; and
WHEREAS, Donor wishes to make a gift of its collection
of vehicles to Donee in order that such collection of vehicles
shall remain forever on public display in the community where
built;
NOW, THEREFORE, Donor does hereby give, assign and trans-
fer all of its right, title and interest in and to the collection
of vehicles set forth and described in Schedule A, hereto annexed,
(hereinafter called the Property), for Donee's proper use and
behoof forever, subject to the following terms and conditions;
1, The Property shall within a reasonable
time from.the date hereof be placed on public display
in perpetuum in a suitable building in the community of

South Bend, Indiana, and shall not ever be removed on a
permanent basis from said City of South Bend, Indiana with-
out the prior written consent of Donor.
2. The Property may not be sold, assigned, or
transferred in any manner by Donee to a third party without
the prior written consent of Donor.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, the parties hereto have caused this
instrument to be duly executed as of the day and year first above
written.
