Persons in attendance included Council Members Kelly, Varner, Pfeifer, I~irsits, ~7ieter, Kuspa, Rouse, and Pu~~ello;, Mayor Stephen l~uecke, Public 1l11arks ~irectar Cary pilot, Bernie Feeney, Mrs. l~apola, City Clerk John Vaarde, Barge Herendeer~, Mark ~obsan, Robert Mathis, Jamie ~aa of the Sou~~ ~en~ ~"ri~r~e and Kathleen Cekanki~ Farrand, Council Attorney. ~r~ Varner Hated that the Committee members include Council Members Pfeifer, dieter, Kelly and himself; along ~vith J. Edv~ard Talley a the Citizen Member, fir. No one fror~ the public spoke in favor or in apposition to the Bill, Counci! Member Pfeifer made a motion, seconded by Council Member dieter that Substitute Bill No. ~-~~ be reon~n~ended fvorablyto Council, The motion passed. fir. Varner then called far a presentation on Bill No. 49-D7 requesting a vacation of a porkion of Brick Road right-of-gray in Berman Tor~nship. I~erendeen stated that the land in question is ~ "silver of right-of-gray" ~rhich abuts the petitioner's property and Brick load. The land in question gas formerly owned by the state of indiana and vas given to the City of South Bend. The City his na other use Earths property and has no objection to it becoming part of the petitioner's lat~ r. pilot stated th~tthe Board of Public~ork recann~end the vacation. Council Ien~ber dieter made ~ motion, seconded by Council I~en~ber Pfeifer that Bill No. 49-d7 be recommended favorably to Council. The motion passed.
