AN ORDINANCE FOR AN ADDITIONAL APPROPRIATION
TO THE GAS ACCOUNT OF THE FIRE DEPARTMENT
BEING ACCOUNT NO. Q -222 IN THE AMOUNT OF
$3,000.00, SAID SUM BEING TRANSFERRED FROM
THE COAL ACCOUNT OF THE FIRE DEPARTMENT,
SAID ACCOUNT BEING Q -311.
WHEREAS, certain extraordinary conditions have developed since the
adoption of the existing annual budget, so that it is now necessary
to appropriate more money than was appropriated in the annual
budget for the various functions of City Government to meet such
extraordinary contingencies; and
WHEREAS, it has been shown that certain existing appropriations
now have unobligated balances which will not be needed for the
purpose for which appropriated.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND
INDIANA:
SECTION I. That there is hereby appropriated to the Gas account
of the Fire Department, being account Q -222, the sum of $3,000.00
and said sum to be transferred to said account from the Coal
account of said Fire Department, being account Q -311 all in the
general fund.
SECTION II. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from
and after its passage by the Common Council, its approval by the
Mayor, and the fulfillment of all statutory requirements of an
emergency appropriation.
