HomeMy WebLinkAboutAdditional Appropriation Amount of $15,364.12 Motor Vehicle Highway FundORDINANCE NO. 4980-68 Passed by the Common Council of the City of South Bend, Presented by me to the Mayor of the City of South Bend, Approved and signed by Clerk of Common Council IDEAL PRESS Clerk ORDINANCE NO. 4980 -68 AN ORDINANCE FOR AN ADDITIONAL APPROPRIATION TO ACCOUNT MUH -52, "RENTS ", IN THE AMOUNT OF $15,364.12 AND THE TRANSFER OF THE SAME FROM ACCOUNT MUH -722, "MOTOR EQUIPMENT ", ALL BEING IN THE MOTOR VEHICLE HIGHWAY FUND. WHEREAS, certain extraordinary conditions have de- veloped since the adoption of the existing annual budget so that it is now necessary to appropriate more money then was appropriated in the annual budget for the various functions of City government to meet such extraordinary conditions; and, WHEREAS, Additional funds are needed by the Street Department for rental of street sweeping equipment to assure the department's ability to properly perform its functions. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA: SECTION I. That the sum of $15,364.12 be transferred from Account MUH -722 "Motor Equipment ", and transferred and appropriated to Account MVH -529 "Rents ", both accounts being within the Motor Vehicle Highway Fund. SECTION II. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage by the Common Council, its approval by the Mayor, legal publication and the fulfillment of all statutory requirements of emer"ncy appropriations.
