ORDINANCE NO. 4964 -67
AN ORDINANCE FOR ADDITIONAL APPROPRIATIONS TO
ACCOUNT U -21, "COMMUNICATION AND TRANSPORTATION"
IN THE AMOUNT OF $2,500.00 AND TO ACCOUNT U -22,
"HEAT, LIGHT, SEWAGE AND WATER," IN THE AMOUNT
OF $6,200.00 AND THE TRANSFER OF SAID SUMS FROM
ACCOUNT U -71, "BUILDINGS, STRUCTURES AND ITWPROVE-
MENTS" AND ACCOUNT U -72, "EQUIPMENT ", IN THE
CENTRAL SERVICES BUILDING BUDGET, ALL BEING IN
THE GENERAL FUND.
WHEREAS, Certain extraordinary conditions have developed since
the adoption of the existing annual budget so that it is now necessary
to appropriate more money than was appropriated in the annual budget
for the various functions of city government to meet such extraordinary
conditions; and,
WHEREAS, Additional funds are needed by the Central Services
Building to assure the department's ability to properly perform its
functions.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND,
INDIANA:
SECTION I. That the sum of $1,000.00 be transferred from Account
U -71, "Buildings, Structures and Improvements" and transferred and
appropriated to Account U -21, "Communication and Transportation" both
accounts being within the General Fund.
SECTION II. That the sum of $1,500.00 be transferred from Account
U -72, "Equipment", and transferred and appropriated to Account U -21,
"Communication and Transportation" both accounts being within the
General Fund.
SECTION III.That the sum of $6,200.00 be transferred from Account
U -72, "Equipment ", and transferred and appropriated to Account U -22,
"Heat, Light, Sewage and Water ", both accounts being within the General
Fund.
SECTION IV. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after its passage by the Common Council, its approval by the
Mayor, legal publication and the fulfillment of all statutory re-
quirements of emergency appropriations.
