ORDINANCE NO. 5060 -69
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 40 OF THE
MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND,
INDIANA, 1962, AS AMENDED, ALSO KNOWN AS
ORDINANCE NO, 4990 -68, AND THE ACCOMPANYING
MAP THERETO, GENERALLY KNOWN AS THE SOUTH
BEND ZONING ORDINANCE
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH
BEND, INDIANA AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1:
That Section 40 of the Municipal Code of the City
of South Bend, Indiana, 1962, as amended, also known as
Ordinance No. 4990 -68, the Zoning Ordinance be amended
by zoning the following recently annexed land "D" Light
Industrial Use and "F" Height and Area District:
The east 249 feet more or:-, less of the west
one -half of the southwest one quarter of
Section 33, Township 38 North, Range 2 East,
German Township, St. Joseph County, Indiana
and bounded by Lincolnway West on the South,
St. Joseph County Airport on the West and
North and Portage Township on the East.
Section 2:
This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from
and after its enactment, approval by the Mayor and legal
publication.

AS AMENDED, ALSO KNOWN AS ORDINANCE NO. 4990 -68, AND
THE ACCOMPANYING MAP THERETO, GENERALLY KNOWN AS
THE SOUTH BEND ZONING ORDINANCE.

The attached ordinance was originated by the Area Plan
Commission and was legally advertised under date of
January 11 and 18 and given public hearing on January 21,
1969. The following action was taken:
After due consideration it was moved, seconded
and carried that the ordinance be recommended
favorably to the Common Council.
Attached hereto and made apart of this report is an excerpt
from the minutes of the meeting.
