ORDINANCE NO. 5002 -68
AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING $21,500.00 FROM
THE MOTOR VEHICLE HIGHWAY FUND TO ACCOUNT
MVH -51, "INSURANCE" IN THE MOTOR VEHICLE
HIGHWAY DEPARTMENT.
WHEREAS, Certain extraordinary conditions have de-
veloped since the adoption of the existing annual budget
so that it is now necessary to appropriate more money
than was appropriated in the annual budget for the various
functions of City Government to meet such extraordinary
emergencies, and
WHEREAS, the premium for general liability insurance
coverage is more than was estimated in 1967; therefore
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SOUTH BEND, IMENNA:
SECTION I. That for the expenses of the Motor Vehicle
Highway Department, and in particular Account MVH -51,
"Insurance," there is need for additional funds, and there-
fore is hereby appropriated to said Account from the Motor
Vehicle Highway Fund the sum of $21,500.00.
SECTION II. This Ordinance shall be in full force and
effect from and after its passage by the Common Council, its
approval by the Mayor, legal publication, and the fulfillment
of all statutory requirements of emergency appropriations.
