ORDINANCE NO. 5007 -68
AN ORDINANCE FOR AN ADDITIONAL APPROPRI-
ATION TO ACCOUNT P -213, "TRAVEL EXPENSE ",
IN THE AMOUNT OF $1,000.00 AND TIT TRANS-
FER OF SAID SUD;? FRGA ACCOUNT P -11, "SER-
VICES PERSONAL ", IN THE POLICE DEPARTMENT,
ALL BEING WITHIN THE GENERAL FUND
WHEREAS, certain extraordinary conditions have developed since
the adoption of the existing annual budget so that it is now necessary
to appropriate more money than was appropriated in the annual budget for
the various functions of city government to meet such extraordinary con-
ditions; and,
WHEREAS, due to the increased educational program, additional
funds are needed by the South Bend Police Department for travel expense
to send police officers to police schools outside the City of South
Bend, thereby assuring the department's ability to properly perform its
functions.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CCI&M COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH
BEND, INDIANA;
SECTION I. That the sum of $1,000.00 be transferred from ac-
count P -11, "Services Personal" and transferred and appropriated to ac-
count P -213, "Travel Expense ", both accounts being within the General
Fund.
SECTION II. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after its passage by the Common Council, its approval by the
Mayor, legal publication and the fulfillment of all statutory require-
ments of emergency appropriations.
