AN ORDINANCE TRANSFERRING $409,457 AMONG VARIOUS ACCOUNTS WITHIN FUND 212
"COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT" IN THE DEPARTMENT OF COMMUNITY AND ECONOMIC
DEVELOPMENT
Statement of Purpose and Intent:
In order to assure the efficient and timely utilization of Community Development Block Grant
Funds in accordance with the community's Housing & Community Development Plan, transfers are
needed:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council of the City of South Bend,
Indiana, as follows:
SECTION I. The sum of $409,457 is hereby transferred among accounts as set forth below:

1999 NHS Homeownership Program $140,000
2000 Affordable Loan Program 38,047
2000 REWARD 55,000
2000 YSB Development Planning 158
2000 NPC Public Works Program 2,156

Total $409,457
Increase the following: Amount

SECTION II. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage

The attached bill for your consideration and approval will transfer $409,457 in Community Development
Block grant funds as part of the 2002 Housing & Community Development Plan. As you remember, this
plan, and the proposed allocation of funds, was made public September 28, 2000 fora 30-day public
comment period. The plan was also the subject of 2 public hearings on October 11th. This bill is a
companion to the CDBG general appropriation bill also filed today.
