AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING 5130,000 WITHIN THE U.D.A.G. FUND
(FUND 410) OF THE DEPARTMENT OF COMMUNITY AND ECONOMIC
DEVELOPMENT FOR THE PURPOSE OF PROVIDING ADMINISTRATIVE
SUPPORT TO THE DEPARTMENT OF COMMUNITY AND ECONOMIC
DEVELOPMENT FOR PROGRAM YEAR 2002 BEGINNING JANUARY 1,
2002.
Statement of Purpose and Intent:
In order to assure the efficient and timely utilization of Urban Development Action
Grant Reimbursement Funds and to further the implementation of the redevelopment
plans within the City, certain appropriations are necessary.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council of the City of
South Bend, Indiana, as follows:
SECTION I. The sum of 5130,000 is hereby appropriated within Fund 410 for the
Department of Community and Economic Development for program year 2002 beginning
January 1, 2002.
SECTION II. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its
passage by the Common Council and approval by the Mayor.

Development Action Grant reimbursement funds for Department of Community and
Economic Development administration. As we discussed at our budget meetings this
summer, this action, along with the staff contract bill, will allow us to complete the
appropriation of department administration funding for 2002.
